Lyra

Lyra was imported from Holland at 10 weeks of age by Cypress and raised in an IGP foundation, where she also explored ring sports during early development. After 2 ½ years, she transitioned to Andrew full time, who was seeking a competition dog at the time, while Cypress retained breeding rights.

At 3 years old, just prior to her first planned breeding, Lyra was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. She has since been spayed and is being carefully monitored, but continues to enjoy an active, fulfilling life.

Lyra is a quick, medium sized female with excellent environmental stability. As a puppy she was highly social, later maturing into a serious and driven working dog. She shows strong prey drive with natural defense and suspicion, a committed half grip, and impressive intensity under decoy pressure. Lyra does display strong same-sex aggression and a high predatory instinct toward smaller dogs, but she has remained environmentally sound and confident throughout her training.
Lyra is the first Tervuren to a PSA 2
